Anything with bacon in it has to be good, right? Well... BIG changes happenin' round these parts!! Two weeks ago Friday, I woke up and decided that I needed a job. I thought, good time to look for a job, with the holiday season coming up. Thankfully I don't NEED a job, but I thought it would be fun to have something to do a few days a week.
Criteria:
Fun
Close to my house
Flexible hours
Easy
That's about all I was looking for. So, I got myself dressed and headed down the hill in search of a job. Now, to be honest with you, I set out to apply at Bath and Body Works. It fit all my criteria and I love all their stuff! Win, win!! However, on my way to B&B, I passed by another place I thought would be ever BETTER!
I walked into the shop, asked for an application, filled it out on the spot and headed home. That's it. That's all it took for me to be satisfied in my job search. Not even twenty four hours later, I received a call from the manager, asking me to come on Monday for an interview. So, on Monday, I headed back down the hill for my interview. I wasn't really nervous, but a tad anxious, considering this was my first interview in 12 years! I left the interview, feeling pretty good, but again, no stress because if I didn't get the job, no big deal. Twenty four hours later, I received a call, asking me if I would like a position. I got the job!!
Wanna know where I'm working? Ready?

YES! Pier 1!!! I know, totally dangerous!! However, I've worked there for two weeks and haven't purchased anything...yet. Let me tell you, I have spent about five grand in my mind, every day that I'm there, but no cash has changed hands...yet.
I've decided that I would share some fun things that I see when I'm at work, things I covet. Maybe you'll like them too and come in and buy them!! Here are just a few of the fall decorations that I'm loving right now!!
Halloween wooden photo holder ~ $10 (much cuter in person)
Caged pumpkin with ornaments ~ $79
and to go with the pumpkin...
Metal pumpkin stand ~ $19.95
Halloween table leg covers ~ $9.95 each
Spooky pillow ~ $19.95I'm working two to three days a week, typically 9 ~ 2. A perfect schedule while the kids are in school. If you're up on the Northside, come in and see me! I'll try to help you (still learning!!)
